The Orienteering Club of Calasparra has organised an initiation course in orienteering for novices on March 1 and anyone can take part.
The course is aimed at complete novices and those who have taken part before but have had difficulties. Anyone of any age and any fitness level can part.
The Club will provide all the necessary material, such as maps and compasses. Participants are advised to wear loose fit trousers, such as tracksuit trousers, trainers, boots or similar footwear.
The meeting point is the motorbike circuit in the Sierra del Molino at 9.30am on March 1.
Inscriptions until February 27 at 3€ payable on the day. To sign up send an email to calasparra-o@hotmail.com giving your name, date of birth and DNI or Passport number. Indicate whether you are a novice or have some experience.
The aim of the course is that participants can take part in the Costa Calida Trophy Trials which will be held in Calasparra on March 7 and 8.

The motorbike circuit is along a turning off the Mula Road. Heading away from Calasparra turn left on the corner where you can see the ruins of an old house. It is just a couple of minutes along the road, past the residential areas and country properties.
This course should interest anyone who enjoys the countryside and mountains around Calasparra and is an opportunity to see parts of the mountain you have probably not see before.
