Calasparra is on extremely high alert for the risk of forest fires due to the high temperatures from June 17 to 23 of between 36 and 38C.
Maximum precaution is advised and the following advice has been issued:
Do not light fires or barbecues
Do not throw cigarette ends or rubbish in the countryside
Don´t use machinery that may cause sparks
Drink plenty of water and avoid lengthy exposure to the sun
Advise 112 emergencies if you see smoke or fire
Follow the advice of the Civil Protection and the Met Office
