Every May the statue of Our Lady of Hope from the local Sanctuary is brought by pilgrimage to Calasparra town and various religious and traditional events are held throughout May. This is a brief summary of those events with dates and times.
During the month of May mass will be held from Monday to Friday at 8am and 8pm and on Saturday at 8pm and Sunday at 9am, 11am and 8pm.
St Peter´s Church will be open to the public in the mornings from 7.30am to 8.45am and 11am to 1pm except on Fridays, and also open from 6pm to 9pm.
The Rosary will be said every evening at 7.30pm, confessions and the Month of Flowers.
On Thursdays there will be an exhibition of the Saints at 7pm.
Everyday there will be a collection of flowers for Our Lady of Hope and a food collection for Caritas.
Tuesday April 30
12 midday Bell ringing and rockets to announce the arrival of the statue of Our Lady of Hope in Calasparra.
Wednesday May 1 (Fiesta day)

12.15pm Rosary in the Sanctuary Chapel followed by mass at 1pm
3.30pm and 4.15pm buses from door of former Pepon bar to the Sanctuary
5pm Pilgrimage leaves the Sanctuary
7pm Rondalla Folklore and Cultural Association Music and Dance Group perform at the doors of the Caverina Football Ground
8pm Meeting of the statues of the Patron Saints of Calasparra and the statue of Our Lady of Hope
Procession to the Merced Church greeted by Rociero Choir
Fireworks followed by mass
