The health crisis caused by the coronavirus pandemic, which began in 2020, is officially over and from today, Wednesday, masks are no longer obligatory in chemists, medical centres, hospitals, clinics and residences.
The Coordination Centre for Health Emergencies and Alerts has accepted the consensus of experts and regional governments to consider Covid-19 «under control» and although the illness remains that it no longer represents a health crisis.
There are some exceptions such as clinics for for immune suppressed, respiratory problems and other especially vulnerable patients.
The Centre also appeals for a «culture of responsibilty,» recommends the use of masks for anyone with symptoms of respiratory infections and recommemds the vaccination programme to avoid future health emergencies.
