While the number of confirmed cases of coronavirus in Calasparra remains at 24, the good news is that eight cases have been given the all clear.
The collection of national statistics has come under fire as yesterday´s figures were published and has led to central government issuing guidelines to autonomous areas, such as the Murcia region, on how to collate data.
If all data is collected under the same criteria the statistics should be more reliable. However, up until now only deaths as a result of coronavirus in hospitals have been recorded. Deaths in private residences and residential homes, where no positive daignosis has been given, do not appear in the statistics. This may mean mortality rates are much higher than those currently being recorded.
As far as we are aware there are still no cases of coronavirus in the local OAPs residence.
Please stay at home, stay safe and keep us all safe.
