The local police have announced the use of a drone to increase controls
and monitor compliance with the State of Alarm in rural areas of Calasparra.
From today, Friday, local police will use the drone to monitor whether residents
in rural areas are complying with the regulation to “stay at home.”
The drone will facilitate the control of areas of difficult access such as the
Sierra San Miguel and other rural zones where there is a concentration of
second homes.
A specialist pilot will mann the drone which will send information on possible offences
in real time to police patrols.
This is the latest measure under the State of Alarm to ensure that residents
only leave their homes for permitted activities as seldom as possible.
