The Head of the Youth Department, Jordi Arce, has officially launched a “tarjeta joven” which entitles youngsters in Calasprra to discounts in shops and for events during the September fiestas.
He was accompanied by the President of the local Chamber of Commerce, Esperanza Moreno, at the launch yesterday when they announced 5% discounts in most of the shops and businesses in the town and a 2 euro discount on tickets for the Melendi Concert on September 8.
The Youth Discount Card is aimed at young people between 14 to 34 years old.
Jordi Arce also commented that the number of students using the 24 hour study centre had increased to 150 and that 80 children had enrolled in the Summer School.
