The Department of Culture and the local Reading Club have joined forces to organise a visit to the Orihuela to celebrate the life and work of the poet, Miguel Hernández.
The trip will be on Saturday April 27, leaving at 8.30am from the Secano.
Partipicants will visit the birthplace of the poet and see the restored walls, the Jesuit Centre where he studied and his house. There will also be the opportunity to visit other
monuments in Orihuela.
The visit will finish at 2pm when the group will visit the beach where there will be an opportunity to visit local restaurants and bar or enjoy a picnic.
Return to Calasparra about 5pm.
The cost of transport will be funded by the Town Hall.
There are only 55 places which must be booked before April 26. Book at the Town Hall.
