So far there have been no news which casts light on a failure which caused the Internet in Calasparra to crash yesterday afternoon, bringing banks, shops and businesses to a standstill.
The Internet cut out at around 3pm yesterday, Monday, and was still down in the early evenings when shops and businesses opened after the siesta.
However, as the cash machines were not working and the computerised tills in most of the shops and stores were not working either, shopping was very difficult.
Calasparra being Calasparrra, if shoppers are regular customers, the shopkeepers are more than happy to let them have goods «on tick.»
But customers in the large supermarkets, hoping to pay with a credit card, were obliged to leave their trolleys full of shopping at the tills.
As soon as we have more information regarding the internet failure we will publish it for our readers. But as yet………no news!
