There is a small corner of Riorges, France which will be forever Calasparra as the twinned town names a local street Rue de Calasparra.
During the celebrations marking the 10th anniversary of the twinning of Riorges with Calasparra the Mayor of Calasparra, Jesus Navarro, and Teresa Salinas García, former President of the Twinning Committee, were recognized as “Citizens of Honour” by Riorges.
Calasparra was also provided a stand at the Feria of Flowers and Local Produce which is celebrated every year in Riorges.
