The Canoe Club of Calasparra debuted a Dragon Boat yesterday morning, Saturday, in the river Segura near the club´s headquarters.
The Dragon Boat has roots in China and dates back to the year 2,000 and the legend of Qu Yuan.
Nowadays the boat has been modernized but it maintains the same design with the head and the tail of the drgaon and a drum marking rythym.
The boat is used in different age group races with 12 or 24 rowers.
