Mobile alcohol testing for motorists is the main focus of the new Traffic Police vehicle presented to the Mayors of Calasparra, Bullas, Carvaca , Cehegin and Moratalla by the Government Delegate, Joaquín Bascuñana.
The Fiat Scudo, equipped with a special alcohol testing centre and an office, aims to reinforce road saety in the area and facilitate the job of the local police. In January speed control equipment will also be installed.
The presentation was made in Caravaca last week.
The vehi cle will be used by the municipal areas on a rota basis and, according to the Mayor of Calasparra, Jesus Navarro, will be an important tool for avoiding accidents.
