New Street cleaning equipment, hired especially for the fiestas, and five portable loos in the town centre will ensure the town is clean and hygienic during the September fiestas.
The special water cleaner will ensure the streets and squares are clean after each day of celebrations and at the end of the fiestas.
The Mayor of Calasparra, Jose Velez, has announced that Town Hall staff will work during the fiestas to keep the town spick and span.
The Town Hall has also called on residents to contribute to the cleanliness of the town by disposing of litter appropriately; using the different recycling bins; and contributing to the maintenance of public areas.
Another welcome move is the introduction of five portable toilets in the town centre during the fiestas.
