The II Gastronomic Days of Rice programme in Calasparra kicked off with more than 12 local restaurants offering special menus featuring the famous Calasparra rice.
Restaurants in central town and on the outskirts, including Valentin, offered special lunchtime menus and gastrotapas for the many residents and visitors who took advantage of the fiesta weekend to visit our town.
And there was an ample variety of dishes on offer from mellow rice to soupy rice; from dry paellas to seafood rice plus a variety of gourmet sweets, all demonstrating the versatility of this famous local cereal.
