A blonde bull caused havoc during Sunday´s bull run when he ripped up the script and ran backwards and forwards between the barriers for seventeen minutes and twenty five seconds.
The bull, from stockbreeder, José Luis Osborne, rampaged backwards and forwards on Calle Labrador, crashing into the barrier protecting Calle Doctor Fleming long after the rest of the pack had safely reached the bull ring.
After an interminable bull run, six or seven times longer than the average, the stewards eventually persuaded the bewildered animal to enter the bull ring.
Several runners were treated for falls and bruises and another for bruising after a bull trod on him in passing.
There were hundreds of runners and thousands and thousands of spectators for what will undoubtedly go down as one of the longest encierros in the history of Calasparra.
The last bull run of the fiestas will be tomorrow, Monday, at 10am.
