CALASPARRA IN PARTY MOOD FOR THE LOCAL FIESTAS

Calasparra was in the mood for a fiestas after two years of Covid-19, confinements and social distancing, the residents turned out in force to enjoy all the traditional events of the Fiestas of the Patron Saints of Calasparra.
The emblematic Night of the Migas is a fun night for many but for others it is a serious business as they seek the title of the Best Migas in Calasparra.
A fairly new addition to the fiestas is the Popular Paella Competition with cooking, eating and partying in the streets.
The Verbena, a night of music and dancing, held in the square alongside the Saints Square, was crowded out with party goers still going strong in the early hours of the morning.
The last Day of the Patron Saiunts on Saturday started early with the early mroning call, the Diana, and followed by a light hearted procession with the statues of the Saints and local bands.
A good time was had by all and now its time to bid farewell to these traditonal local fietas until the same time next year!
