Due to the doubling of cases of Covid-19 in Calasparra over the last week (13 confirmed cases and one new diagnosed in the last 24 hours) the municipal area has changed its status from “low risk” to “medium to high risk.”
The changes to the precautionary measures and protocol which come with the change of status are:
Maximum six people in public or private reunions (no change)
Mask obligatory (no change)
No smoking on bar and restaurant terraces (no change)
Interior of bars and restaurants closed
Bar and restaurant terraces limited to 75 capacity with two metres between chairs
Masks obligatory when not actually eating or drinking
Take away service permitted
Shops limited to 50% capacity
Parks and children´s play areas closed at 7pm
Masks must be worn when practising sport
Funerals limited to 15 people interior and 24 exterior
All these measures come into effect from today, Tuesday January 12.
The regional frontier remains closed and 36 towns in the region have their perimeters closed and all bars and restaurants closed. (Check earlier entries on this website for the list)
