Blade Runners are organising a 41 kilometre walk from the Sanctuary to Caravaca to celebrate the Jubilee Year of Caravaca on May 14.
For the less fit or able the route can be curtailed at Moratalla: a walking route of 17 kilometres.
According to the organisers some 90% of the route consists of footbaths and just 10% of the walk will take place on roads.
Although there will be food and snacks provided along the way walkers are advised to carry water and food and anything else they may need such as sun cream, a hat, a telephone and any accessories necessary for the walk.
An ambulance will follow the walkers as will members of the Civil Protection and various members of the Blade Runners.
Walkers will be required to complete a signed disclaimer form in order to take part which is downloadable from the Blade Runners website. Without this document you will not be permitted to take part.
Walkers are expected to be reasonably fit and able to complete the route.
