The price of bottled gas increased by 2.15% yesterday to reach 17.5 euros. The cost has risen by a massive 7.2% since January.
However, lower prices of electricity and petrol in April mean the rate of inflation last month, 1.4%, was the lowest since March 2010.
The lower cost of housing, which has fallen by 6 4%, and transport due to lower petrol prices, has also affected the inflation rate.
