Dogs Rescue Calasparra had reached their limit. The refuge is bursting at the seams with dogs and puppies abandoned by residents of Calasparra.
Yet…. they could not turn a blind eye when this small dog was found injured and abandoned on the banks of the Segura river.
They have called him «Rio» and have taken him to the Quipar Vets Clinic where he was found to be in a poor state of health: infected with ticks and suffering from multiple injuries as a result of being dragged along by the current of the river.
His treatment will be expensive and Dogs Rescue are appealing for help with the vets bills´and a home where he can live a better life.
