This beautiful landscape of the rice fields of Calasparra, painted by Francisco Rojas Garcia, natural of Cadiz, took first prize of 400€ in the ‘VI Certamen de Pintura al Aire Libre Villa de Calasparra.’
Artists were invited to spend the day on Sunday painting their view of the Calasparra rice fields for cash prizes.
Second prize of 250 euros was won by local artist, Ana Belen Martinez Marin (featured below) and Pedro Jose Sanchez Marin won the 300€ prize for best local artist (featured below).
