ALL WEEKEND CONCERTS POSTPONED DUE TO SEVERE STORM THREAT

A severe weather warning from the Met Office has led to the postponement of all three concerts due to be held this weekend as part of the September Fiestas.
The Town Hall announced the cancellation last night, due to a 80 to 90% probability of strong storms locally accompanied by torrential rain and issued the following statement:
«Calasparra Town Hall is profoundly sorry for the inconvenience caused but must putt the health and safety of everyone above all else.»
The Met Office has been warning of a weather phenonomen, DANA, an isolated high pressure depression, all week. A DANA produces a shock between a mass of cold air at high level with a mass of hot air at low level, which usually results in a drop in temperature, severe storms and torrential rain.
The concerts have been postponed not cancelled and tickets will be valid for the re-scheduled dates.
Saturday´s concert,  “ESTRELLAS DE BUENA VISTA Y MÁS” will now be held on September 16.
The Summer Fest, also scheduled for Saturday, will be held on September 5.
The concert,
“CAFÉ QUIJANO,” to be held on Sunday, will now be on September 23.
To date there has been no decision on the bull runs and bull fights. A decision will be made on Sunday.
Readers can return or change their tickets to the new dates at the Town Hall or at  www.compralaentrada.com
