DID THE EARTH MOVE FOR YOU?

Startled residents called the emergency services yesterday evening when tremors from an earthquake, with the epicentre in Albacete, measuring 5.2 on the Richter scale were felt in Calasparra.
The earthquake struck at 5.19 pm and local police reported numerous calls from frightened residents.
The tremor had a latitude of 39.04, a longitud of 2.65 and was 10 kilometres below the earth´s surface. It was registered on the same fault line as the earthquake of May 2011 in Lorca which killed nine people, injured 324 and caused extensive structural damage in the area.
Although the epicentre was in Osa de Monteil, Albacete, tremors were felt in Madrid, Castilla La Mancha and Valencia as well as in the Murcia region.
There were 20 aftershocks recorded following the earthquake, the strongest being at 11.02pm registering 2.7 on the Richter scale.
This is the biggest earthquake in Spain since 2012 but experts say due to its depth no injuries or significant strctural damage has been repòrted.
