NEW QUICK REPORTING SYSTEM THROUGH WHATSAPP!

The Town Hall has launched a new service to enable residents to send photos and messages by “whatsapp” 24 hours a day , seven days a week, to report defects and problems in the public areas of the town.
Municipal personnel will manage the service (on 670 25 72 54) and will pass messages onto to the appropriate departments.
Residents can send photos, reports, consultations and suggestions concerning the public zones of Calasparra and urban resources such as benches, play or leisure equipment etc and will receive answers between office hours: 8am to 3pm.
The Mayor, José Veléz, said the new service aims to facilitate early reporting of defects in public installations and rapid repairs.
“With this system we aim to bring the public adminisatration closer to the citizens of the town and make our services quicker and more effective,” he told the official presentation of the project last night, Tuesday.
The new system comes complete with a calendar for 2015 with dates and times of rubbish collections and information on recycling.
