Local composer, Pedro Gómez, one of a group of composers working under the name of M14 Creación Contemporánea, will join the Women´s Music Association in a new project which aims to reflect the different realities suffered by women in different parts of the world.
Their compositions, which form part of the project “Voices”, will be performed by Rubik Ensemble and the Terpsicore Ballet on February 28 in the Real Academia de Bellas Artes de San Fernando de Madrid (c/ Alcalá, 13). Entrance is free.
There will be eight original compositions designed to be a unique artistic experience which connects with the audience. The project aims to give voice to women who experience discrimination, lack of human rights and physical violence, among other abuses, which they suffer in silence and which are often hidden from today´s society.
M14 Creación Contemporánea is a group of young composers seeking new forms of communicating with their audience. “Voices” is a combination of music, ballet, narratives and games in a space where the barriers between the artists and the audience have been eliminated.
