If you are interested in the most emblematic product of Calasparra the Tourist Office has organised a walk through the paddy fields this weekend and a visit to the Rice Museum.
Also included in the itinerary is a visit to the Arab ruins of Villa Vieja which are only open by appointment so this is a not to be missed opportunity.
The event is part of the “Calasparra, paso a paso” (step by step) municipal walking programme2014. The walk is on Sunday June 1 and leaves from the Plaza de la Corredera at 9am. It is graded as medium difficult and is free.
