Today, May 21, local schoolchildren from the primary schools sixth form will visit the paddy fields of Calasparra as part of an organised Day of Sport.
The pupils will be cycling along the so called Ruta Cicloturista from the Municipal Sports Centre past the warehouses of the Matadero and along the road to the river Segura from where they will continue by foot to the rice fields.
After lunch they will continue to Olivarejo, the Santuary, los Viveros, Cañada Verde, and then back to the Sports Centre.
