Predictions for a weekend of cloudy sunshine were drowned out by 46 litres per square metre of torrential rain which fell on Calasparra during Saturday night and this morning, Monday, when a Yellow Alert was issued in the region for more rain!
Moreover, the first snows of the year have fallen in the higher points of nearby Moratalla and the rain predicted for today is likely to turn to snow on high ground.
Depending on which weather reports you read, the rain will continue through Tuesday or Wednesday, or Thursday, some even predict rain for Friday! However, one thing is clear: it will be another miserable, unsettled week!
Hopefully the sun will find its way through the clouds next weekend as predictions seem to announce the end of the current rainy spell. Fingers crossed!!
