AEMET, the Met Office, has issued a Yellow Weather Warning for high temperatuires today, Tuesday, and Wednesday July 8, that remains active on Thursday, for the north West Murcia region, that includes Calasparra.
According to AEMET temperatures are likely to reach 39C and possibily 40C in certain parts of the region.
Hot weather advice is to drink plenty of water and avoid sugary drinks and alcohol.
To use sun cream and wear a hat and light,loose clothing.
To avoid exposure to the sun and intense practical exercise between 12 midday and 5pm.
To pay special attention to children, elderly people and pets. Never leave them in parked vehicles.
To stay in cool places or with air conditioning
