The 30 kilometre stretch of the N344 motorway which connects Fuente La Higuera in Valencia to Blanca in Murcia will be opened today.
This is the first part of a 77.7 kilometre extension through the region of Murcia. The project will cost 83.8 million euros and will cut travel times between Valencia and Andalusia.
The N344 currently supports 6,000 vehicles a day
