MORE SPEED TRAPS ON REGION’S ROADS

There are now an average of four radar traps for every four thousand kilometres of road in the region of Murcia and soon three more will be installed on the A-7 Autovia del Mediterráneo.
The region currently has 16 permanent radar traps. This is the fourteenth highest nationally only exceeded by La Rioja, Cantabria and Navarra.
Last year some 57,823 motorists were fined for speeding in the region.
The Guardia Civil defends the radar traps and claims they prevent accidents.
The “hot spots” on the A-7 have been identified as the connection at Espinardo of the a-30 with the A-7; the RM-19 and the RM-12 , with access to San Javier and the connection with La Manga and Cabo de Palos.
