Last Sunday Calasparra celebrated an unforgetable day of sporting activity that marked the 30th anniversary of the Half Mountain Marathon, Antonio de Bajar, the most emblematic and oldest event in this discipline in the region.
The trials, organised by the Club Alpino of Calasparra with the collaboration of Calasparra Town Hall and the regional Federation of Athletics (FAMU), brings together runners from all over the region for a day of passion and sport in the spectacular natural surroundings of our municipal area.
The XX Media Maratón de Montaña consists of a 10.5 kilómetros run “Memorial Antonio de Béjar”, as well as the Spanish Championship Short Trail Classic run over 21 k and a non competitive trek of 13k.
The event culminated in a plate of Calasparra rice for everyone taking part.
