Under the slogan «Together We Make a Team» Calasparra Town Hall iluminated its facade with purple lighting to demonstrate solidarity on International Women´s Day, Saturday March 8.
Unfortunately, the demonstration and the reading of the manifesto was suspended until March 14 due to the bad weather but the Town Hall delivered carnations to all the shops and businesss in Calasparra to mark the occasion.
In a statement the Town Hall states:
«This is a date to commemorate the fight for equality. A day to recognise the advances but remember the challenges pending and stay alert to the dangers of losing those rights already secured.»
