In Calasparra the February Carnival, which is celebrated all over Spain and much of Europe, is taken very seriously…that is to say they generally go completely mad!!
If you have never seen the Calasparrian Fancy Dress Parade Nexonr Hhighly recommends it and this year it has been brought forward to 7.30pm so you don´t even need to stay up late!
Carnival is an excuse to let your hair down, mask up and dress up, be something you always wanted to be, be someone you always wantd to be! Basically it is a licence to be as outragioues as you want and generally Calasparra embraces the concept.
It is a night long party for many and a grand spectacle for all!

From Calle Higinio to the Cine Rosales
Followed by a fiesta in Cine Rosales
Saturday February 17 7.30pm Carnival Fancy Dress Parade
Central town
Sunday February 18 6.30pm OAPs Club

This year the group invited to accompany the parade is “Nuevas Flores del Mediterráneo” of the El Palmar (Murcia) carnival.
