INVISIBLE RADAR TRAPS INSTALLED ON REGIONAL ROADS

New invisible radar traps, «Velolases»,have been installed on various roads in the Murcia region.
Some 50% of road traffic accidents in Spain are caused by speeding, according to the Director of Traffic (DGT).
In order that motorist respect the speed limits a network of fixed and mobile radar traps has been installed.
The new radar traps only measure 50 centimetres and weigh less than three kilos, which makes them undetectable to drivers.
These traps have been distributed throughout the region and locations include the N-301 at Los Vientos, direction Molino and another on the AP-7 at Los Alcazares, direction Carteaena. Another has been installed in the Gran Via la Manga infront of the local market place and another infront of the Hotel Poseidón.
For other locations go to the Social Drive on Google Maps for an interactive map.
