On Tuesday at the Alandalus over 40 people gathered in the sunshine to test their knowledge and skills at a quiz for the Dogs Rescue Charity.
Quizmaster for the afternoon was Rick ably assisted by Sue.
Starting at 2.30pm, there were a variety of questions from guessing Body Parts, Colours, «Who Am I» and Nationalities from Music clues, to verbal Fashion, Sport, Odds & Sods and Film Titles questions.
The last section of questions meant a bit of lateral thinking from the clues, which at the end of the afternoon may have been a bit daunting for some !
There was also a Table Top quiz where folks had to test their knowledge on identifying European Flags. Luckily the Union Jack and Spanish flags were included which meant 2 points at least were guaranteed.
After the first four sections there as a raffle with a variety of prizes to suit everyone.
Once the quiz was over and scores added up, prizes were given to the teams who came 1st and 2nd and who also scored the most on the Table Top quiz.
1st prize were 4 bottles of wine with 2nd place receiving 2 bottles. The Table Top winners received €15 in cash.
Even those who came last received a boobyprize and as there were 2 teams who came joint bottom they each received a bag of Mini Cakes.
In total, €293 was raised, which was amazing. Thank you very much to those who came along to take part and support this Local Charity.
Your generosity and taking part was appreciated.
Here’s to the next one !!
