The local association, Dog´s Rescue, is appealing for people to come forward and adopt a dog for Christmas:
The campaign: “Remember, don´t buy a dog this Christmas, adopt one,” aims to encourage people to adopt of the puppies or mature dogs which are in the temporary care of the Association after being abandoned and/or ill-treated.
The kennels of the Association are full to bursting with dogs of all ages and sizes waiting for a happy home, says one of the workers.
