CALASPARRA WILL REMAIN AT RED ALERT FOR ANOTHER WEEK

It seems Calasparra´s Covid-19 status has not changed from Red (extreme risk) to Yellow.as previously announced, and the bar and restaurant terraces will not open this week.
This morning the Regional Tracing Committee announced that 25 municipal areas, including Calasparra, will remain at Extreme risk for another week, removing the possibility of bar terraces and the municipal perimeter opening this week.
The decision was taken because Calasparra is one of 25 municipal areas which has an accumulated incidence per head of population of more than 500 cases per 100,000 inhabitants in the last 14 days.
The 25 municipal areas affected are Calasparra, Yecla, Abarán, Albudeite, Ceutí, Cieza, Ulea, Mula, Beniel, Caravaca de la Cruz, Las Torres de Cotillas, San Pedro del Pinatar, Murcia, Jumilla, Bullas, Lorca, Campos del Río, San Javier, Alguazas, Moratalla, Molina de Segura, Cartagena, Fortuna, Santomera, and Pliego.
Ricote, Alcantarilla, Torre Pacheco, Totana, Cehegín, Alhama de Murcia, Los Alcázares, Archena, La Unión, Lorquí, Librilla, Mazarrón, Águilas, Abanilla, Fuente Álamo, Blanca and Puerto Lumbreras move to Yellow alert. Bar and restaurant terraces may open at 75% and inhabitants may move out of their municipal area to other areas which are not on Extreme alert.
Other measures in the region remain in place. The regional perimeter is closed and people from different households are not permitted to meet in public or private.
The municipal perimeter in Calasparra remains closed.
There were no new cases of Covid-19 diagnosed in Calasparra in the last 24 hours and there are currently 33 active cases of the virus.

Editor´s Note:
Calasparra Town Hall has clarified that it was in fact the local Medical Centre which passed from Red to Yellow alert last week not the municipal area, which remains at Red Alert.
This was not made clear in the previous announcement concerning the status of Calasparra (Red to Yellow). We apologise for any confusion caused by these conflicting reports.
