There has been a 15% increase in hospital admissions in the region in the last 24 hours, 1,107 new cases diagnosed and four deaths.
The third wave of the Covid-19 epidemic has arrived in the region of Murcia and tomorrow the Covid-19 Tracking Committee meets to discuss new restrictions in an effort to halt the progress of the virus.
In the meantime the vaccination programme in the region is slow, in fact it is one of the slowest nationally.
There are currently 5.729 total confirmed cases in the region, of these 300 are in hospital. The number of patients in intensive care has fallen by four (74 to 70) in the last 24 hours and there have been four additional deaths.
In Calasparra there remain five active cases and no new cases diagnosed in the past 24 hours.
