STATE OF ALARM EXTENDED TO MIDNIGHT MAY 10

The current State of Alarm in Spain has been extended from April 26 to midnight on May 10 by the Government and approved by Congress.
Among other measures approved were:

Extending unemployment benefit to workers who lost their jobs during a trial period.

1,100 million euros set aside for businesses, particular small and medium sized businesses and self-employed..

Reduction of IVA to 0% on sanitary products (ie, masks, gels etc).

IVA reduced on books, magazines and newspapers

Extend by two months periods for working from home, adapting work hours and reducing working day.

Establish a mechanism to renegotiate and difer rent on business premises

Also children under 12 may accompany an adult to the supermarket, chemist or bank from Monday April 27.
