Local police have
increased monitoring and control of vehicles and pedestrians who are breaking
the restrictions on movement imposed by national government in the State of
Alarm.
The measures have been introduced to try and put a brake on the spread of the
virus but some resident s are breaking the rules and local police are beginning
to impose fines.
There are strict rules on journeys on the public roads imposed by the State of
Alarm and only trips of absolute necessity are permitted. Only one person is
permitted per vehicle unless accompanying a disabled person.
Shopping trips should be kept to a minimum, just for necessities. Journeys to
hospital and health centres are permitted if they are essential. People are
also permitted to drive to and from work and to drive home if they have been
away. Trips to support and assist vulnerable people in their homes are also
permitted.
The message from the authorities is to stay at home and that, together, we can
beat the virus.
