Calasparra put its best foot forward at the International Food and Drink Show (FITUR) currently being held in Madrid and Calasparra rice is the star of the show.
Both the King of Spain and The President, Pedro Sanchez passed by the stall representing the North East of Murcia where Calasparra plays a leadng role.
They both received a pack of Calasparra rice as a gift.
The Mayor of Calasparra, Joe Velez, who leads the local delegation at FITUR also appeared in a “family” photo with the delegation representing Cartagena (featured in the slide show).
