Calasparra Town Hall has joined the two million people from all over the world celebrating a week of Gay Pride in Madrid this week.
Members of the PSOE and IU (Izquierda Unida), including the Mayor of Calasparra, José Velez, showed their support for Gay Pride in this photograph of the mulitcoloured flag which represents gay human rights.
One of the flags is also on display inside the Town Hall.
Gay Pride in Madrid coincides with the International Day of Gay Pride on June 28 which marks the beginning of the gay rights movement in New York in 1969 when Stonewall organised its first demonstration.
Also a landmark for the gay rights yesterday as German approved gay marriages.
