The Ministry of Education, Youth and Sport, has announced a 1,908,224 euro jackpot for improvements to 36 education centres in the region including Calasparra.
Work will be carried out on primary and secondary schools during the summer to improve impermeability, energy efficiency and air conditioning in the classrooms.
Also earmarked for improvements is general maintenance including work on the electricity networks.
