MARGIN OF ERROR ANULS SPEEDING TICKET

A legal ruling by a judge in Madrid could anul 14,000 speeding tickets issued in Murcia between 2010 and 2014 because of the 3% margin of error in the new radars and 7% in the old ones.
However, before you go jumping for joy because you can appeal your speeding ticket, there is a catch to the judgement: if you paid the ticket “voluntarily,” that is without appealing it, you cannot appeal it now.
Anyone who did appeal the ticket during the period allowed and was refused should contact a solicitor. Apparently there are some 14,000 drivers who could benefit from this judgement.
Also if you have just received a speeding ticket you can appeal on the grounds of the “margin of error.”
In the judgement the judge annuled a speeding fine of 300 euros and two points off the driver´s licence for a motorist who was driving at 153 kph in a 120 kph limit because the “legal margin of error was not applied.”
