Mario Mercader, local billards player, has finished the season in the list of the regional top ten best players.
In September he heads off to Korea with the Junior National Team.
Mario was voted the sportsman of the year by his fellow Calasparrians and was the youngest player ever in the World Cup in Portugal.
He was runner up to the champion in under 17´s and under 21’s; he took 8th place in the National Championships and 6th in the Junior European Championships. He is Champion of the regional league with his club, Casino of Cartagena, and is currently ranked 86th in the world.
