The Yellow Weather Warning for torrential rain from the Met Office (AEMET) remains in place from today, Wednesday March 5 at 4pm until midnight in the Murcia region.
It is expected that 80ml of rain will fall in 12 hours during the period of alert in the North West region of Murcia, that includes Calasparra,
Official advice is to keep informed of changes in the weather forecast.
At home, check all downpipes and drains are clear of debris.
Keep away from corrents of water.
Avoid travel, especially by car.
Do not attempt to cross flooded areas by foot or in a vehicle.
Avoid parking your vehicle on a downward slope or any other area where it might be swept away by flood water.
