WHY DOESN´T CALASPARRA HAVE A CENTRE FOR MASS VACCINATIONS?

“We can´t tolerate a situation where Calasparra has no centre for mass vaccinations!”
This is the message that is came from Calasparra´s  delegate to Congress, Antonio Merino, together with the Secretary General of the PSOE of the region, Diego Conesa, when they denounced the lack of coordination in the vaccination  process in the region.
When it was announced that the mass vaccinations for people aged 60 to 65 would take place today, Thursday, in Cehegin,  Antonio Merino, immediately published a post on Facebook complaining that were public buildings available locally for mass vaccinations, making travelling to Cehegin unnecessary.
Today, with the Mayor of Bullas, he took the fight to Murcia, and, at a press conference he accompanied Diego Conesa when the Secretary General sent this message to region´s President, Lopez Mira:
“The regional government has an obligation to facilitate that elderly and people with disabilities, in particular, can be vaccinated near their homes. It is essential to avoid the requirement to travel.
“It can´t be right that people from Bullas, Moratall and Calasparra have to travel to Cehegin to be vaccinated when all three have their own Medical Centres,” he said.
Conesa went on: “The vaccinations do not have a political colour. The vaccination process should be a joyful moment full of hope for all citizens but the situation in Murcia is a failure to coordinate and to inform the citizens on the part of the regional government.»
