Are wondering what the bulldozers are doing on land adjacent to the Sports Pavillion and in front of the Chapel of Rest (Tanatoria)?
Well, it seems that the emblematic Caverina Bull Ring is not in any state to accommodate the bull fights during the September festivals after all.
The Mayoress of Calasparra, Teresa Garcia, has announced on Radio Calasparra that the bull fights this year will be held in a portable bull ring!
The bulldozers are currently preparing the site for the portable bull ring to be installed.
The move is not an altogether popular one on social media as protests include the inappropriateness of the site, being in front of the Chapel of Rest, and the distance the animals will have to run to reach it!!
