There will be showers of meteorites, clearly visible to the naked eye, over the weekend as the ‘Delta Acuaridas’ fills the sky with brilliant stars.
To witness the phenomenon, thought to be the result of two comets colliding, find a place away from street lighting or electric lights and look north.
Experts estímate there will be up to 20 meteorites flying per hour and the best time to see them is between midnight and 3am when the moolight is weaker.
The showers of meteorites are expected to continue up until August 23.
